How to wake up the battery When the battery is dormant

Foreword


Because the protection board of lithium battery has overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short circuit and other protection functions, when the battery voltage is lower than the minimum discharge voltage, the battery will enter the sleep state. When the battery goes to sleep, it needs to be activated to continue to use.


In which cases the battery needs to be activated

1. The lithium battery has been idle for too long, and the battery is dormant
2. Low temperature, battery sleep
3. Battery short circuit




Reminder: if the voltage is greater than 3.7V, the battery will not be activated and will be directly installed into the cell phone battery compartment for use; if the voltage is less than 3.7V, it will need to be activated with a direct regulated power supply.


2. According to the battery model, buckle the battery on the hole position corresponding to the activation 
small board, then connect the black pen and red pen of the activation small board to the output black pen 
hole and red pen hole of the DC stabilized voltage power supply respectively, adjust the voltage value of 
the DC stabilized voltage power supply step by step according to the universal meter and the detection 
voltage value, and activate the battery.


a. When the detection voltage value is less than 2.5V, adjust the DC regulated power supply to 3.0V (charging is 
based on 5min)
*At the same time, pay attention to the current should be less than 2A

b. When the detection voltage value is more than 2.5V, adjust the DC regulated power supply to 3.6V (charging is 
based on 5min)
*At the same time, pay attention to the current should be less than 2A

C. when the detection voltage value is ≥ 3.5V, adjust the DC stabilized power supply to 4.2v-4.5v (charging is based 
on 5min)The lower the battery voltage, the longer the activation time should be, otherwise the time will be reduced
*At the same time, pay attention to the current should be less than 2A

d. When the detection voltage value is more than 3.7V, install it into the cell phone battery compartment and use the 
charger to charge it


3. After activation, put the battery into the cell phone battery compartment for use.

Q: Why to activate the battery with DC regulated power supply?

A: When the charger is used for activation, when the actual voltage of the battery cannot be known, the current may
be too large. For example, if the battery voltage is less than 3V, when the charger is used to activate the battery at 5V,
the current will exceed 2a, and the charger will be damaged for a long time.

It is better to activate the current limiting function of the small board. For example, if the small board is activated by
Kaisi, the current limiting 2A will be used. At this time, the charger will be used for activation. Because the current
limiting function of the small board is activated, the battery will not be activated all the time, and the customer
repeatedly feedback that the battery cannot be charged.
